The market opens! Watch out for sudden market surges and crashes based on your company's sector.
Think of your company as a pizza cut into exactly 10,000 slices (shares). You can keep these slices locked in your own 'Treasury' (safe, but useless for raising money), or you can sell them to the 'Public Float' to raise cash. If another company buys a slice, it becomes a 'Rival Holding'. IMPORTANT: To take you over, a rival needs 51% of the slices that are CURRENTLY outside the treasury. If you only have 1,000 slices out in the public, they only need to buy 510 to steal your company!
Need fast cash to survive a crisis or buy an upgrade? You can 'Issue Shares'—this moves shares from your safe Treasury into the public market in exchange for cash. But beware: having more shares in the public market means you have less control. If your stock price drops, you can 'Buy Back' shares from the market using your cash, locking them safely back in your Treasury.
You are buying and selling shares of OTHER players' companies on the public exchange, and they are trading yours! The market simulates a real automated order book driven by supply and demand. If you buy a massive block of a rival's stock, you will rapidly deplete the available liquidity at that price point, causing the stock to surge upward. Conversely, dumping a massive block of shares will crash through the buy orders. Example: If you try to buy 1,000 shares of a rival at once, the lack of immediate liquidity will cause severe 'slippage'—you'll end up paying a much higher average price because you drove their price up while filling your order! Your own company's share price directly controls your Net Worth on the leaderboard.
Cash sitting in your bank account doesn't win the game. You must spend it to upgrade your company's Operations, Marketing, or R&D. When you buy an upgrade, your cash is converted into 'Assets', which boosts your company's Reputation and Confidence scores. Example: Spending $50k on a Marketing upgrade immediately increases your overall Influence on the leaderboard.
You can't pick a fake $1 investment — the server sets the price. Level 1 starts at $40,000, then grows ~1.35× each level. Cash becomes assets; reputation and confidence climb (capped at 100).
You don't have to play alone. You can form official contracts with other teams. An 'Alliance' lets you share resources. A 'Merger' joins two companies together. A 'Share Purchase' lets you directly trade cash for shares without using the public market. Example: You can privately offer a struggling company $100k for a massive chunk of their shares to save them from bankruptcy.
Alliance fee is fixed at $15,000 each. Share deals require real cash and real shares — you can't gift at $0.
If you manage to buy 51% of a rival's outstanding shares, you can launch a Hostile Takeover! When you press the launch button, the victim has exactly 5 hours to defend themselves (usually by issuing more shares to the public to dilute your 51% down to 49%). If they fail to defend in time, you steal all of their cash, absorb their assets, and permanently lock them as your subsidiary! (Note: If the takeover fails because they successfully defended, your company does NOT die. You just keep the shares you bought, but fail to gain control).
Cross more than 51%, launch, and they become your subsidiary. Protect your own float — someone can do this to you.
The game masters (Admins) will occasionally drop global News events. These events can cause massive, sudden shifts in the market. Example: A 'Tech Boom' news drop might cause all tech company stocks to instantly surge by 30%, while a 'Supply Chain Crisis' might crash manufacturing stocks. Pay close attention to Admins dropping hints in Discord. Smart players will anticipate these events—if you suspect a 'Tech Boom' is coming, buy tech stocks BEFORE the news hits to ride the massive profit wave. And when a crisis hits, smart players will scoop up crashed shares at a huge discount ('buy the dip')!
News hits confidence first. Confidence slowly pulls fair prices — react before the tape finishes moving.
The economy operates in phases. During the first 24 hours, the game is FROZEN. You can log in, form alliances, and plan your strategy, but you cannot trade shares. After 24 hours, the game automatically shifts to RUNNING, and the stock market officially opens for chaos!
Market open. Players trade, deal, invest.
Trading allowed: YES
Trade, issue/buyback, upgrade, message, propose deals, takeovers (if not a subsidiary).
Flip phases, drop news, reseed, manage users. Always in control of the clock.
Scores teams at the end. Reads the board — does not trade.
Big Board only — prices, tape, empires. Watch-only (chat may be open).
Chat stays available for negotiation. Private messages + contracts still need a RUNNING market to execute cash/share moves.
The ultimate goal is to have the highest 'Influence' score on the leaderboard. Influence is a mathematical combination of your Net Worth (Cash + Assets + Value of your shares), your market Confidence, and your Reputation. You win by managing a highly valued stock, acquiring valuable assets, pulling off clever takeovers, and surviving market crashes.
Leaderboard uses this formula — not market cap + portfolio (that double-counted parent stakes).
Don't miss these 3 crucial mechanics before you play.
Your stock price will naturally drift back toward the base price ($100). Because you aren't growing your company's value, another wealthy player can just buy up your shares and forcibly take you over. Example: If your company is worth $1M and you do nothing, a growing rival can easily afford the $510k needed to buy 51% of your shares and lock you out. Inaction is not a safe strategy.
NO! The 51% takeover threshold is based on outstanding (issued) shares, NOT total shares. Treasury shares do not count towards voting control.
Example: You have 10,000 total shares. You lock 8,000 in your Treasury and issue 2,000 to the public. Your outstanding shares are only 2,000. A rival only needs to buy 1,020 shares (51% of 2,000) to take you over! Hoarding shares in your treasury makes you cheaper to take over! To protect yourself, you must issue shares to the market.
When a rival successfully buys 51% of your issued shares and clicks "Launch Takeover", a 5-hour countdown timer begins. The target company is warned and has until the timer runs out to frantically defend themselves (by rapidly issuing shares to dilute the attacker's percentage back below 51%, or getting an ally to buy shares).
Reputation and Market Confidence act as powerful multipliers for your overall Influence Score on the leaderboard. Example: Buying an upgrade might increase your Confidence by 5 points. Since Confidence is multiplied by 1,000 in the Influence calculation, that single upgrade instantly adds 5,000 to your total Influence Score! Reputation adds 800 per point. They do not automatically increase your cash growth rate, but a high score deters attackers and makes you a much more attractive ally.
No, you will lose money! The game calculates price impact dynamically based on the size of your trade, but it also applies a 0.4% slippage fee (the Bid/Ask spread). If you buy shares (driving the price up) and then immediately sell them back, the spread and the downward price impact of your sale guarantees you will receive less cash than you paid. "Pump and dump" on a single stock alone will drain your cash.
